Carlos Barahona Dies in Pacific Palisades Pedestrian Accident

 
PACIFIC PALISADES, CA (February 18, 2021) — A man was killed in a pedestrian accident on Pacific Coast Highway near Porto Marina Way around 9:30 p.m. Sunday night.
 
27-year-old Carlos Barahona of Los Angeles died at the scene, the Los Angeles County coroner’s office reported.
 
A Nissan traveling northbound on Pacific Coast Highway when it hit Barahona, who crossed outside of a crosswalk. The driver swerved to avoid Barahona but still hit him.
 
The vehicle continued swerving into southbound lanes and down an embankment onto the beach. The driver and passenger were treated for unspecified injuries.
