Driver Dies after Crashing Off 118 Freeway in Mission Hills

 
MISSION HILLS (August 13, 2024) – One person was killed in a car accident on 118 Freeway in Mission Hills late Saturday evening on August 10.
 
The fatal accident happened just after 11:00 p.m. near Burnett Avenue. According to the California Highway Patrol, the victim was driving a silver sedan when they went off the freeway and into the backyard of a residential home.
 
Responding paramedics rushed the driver to a hospital, where the victim later succumbed to their injuries.
 
CHP officials said other occupants in the car fled the scene before authorities arrived.
 
No other information available at this time. The cause of the crash and factors involved remain under investigation.
