Bicyclist Dies after Struck by Commercial Vehicle near Navy Drive in Stockton
STOCKTON, CA (November 9, 2021) – One person was killed in a bicycle accident near Navy Drive and Charter Way in Stockton early Monday morning.
The fatal accident happened just after 3:30 a.m. on November 8. According to the Stockton Police Department, a commercial vehicle struck the bicyclist in unclear circumstances.
When officers arrived, they located the victim lying in the roadway with significant injuries. Despite life-saving efforts, the bicyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
At this time, authorities did not release any information about the bicyclist, including their name or age.
The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
The Stockton police is still trying to determine whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
