Three-Vehicle Accident on Highway 99 in Butte County Sends One Person to Hospital

 
BUTTE COUNTY, CA (January 30, 2023) – One person was injured in a three-vehicle accident on Highway 99 in Butte County late Wednesday afternoon.
 
The accident happened around 5:02 p.m. near Highway 162. According to Cal Fire Butte Unit, three vehicles collided at the intersection for unknown reasons. One of the vehicles had overturned and one person was trapped in the wreckage.
 
Responding firefighters extricated the trapped patient. A ground ambulance then took the patient to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
 
The cause of the crash and factors involved remain under investigation.
