Pedestrian Sustains Injuries after Hit by Sedan on Highway 99 in Sacramento

 
SACRAMENTO, CA (July 14, 2022) – One person was injured in a pedestrian accident on Highway 99 in Sacramento early Monday morning, July 11.
 
The accident happened around 4:46 a.m. near the Mack Road on-ramp. According the CHP, the pedestrian was walking in the northbound lanes of the highway when a silver Honda Accord hit them.
 
When officers arrived, they found the pedestrian suffering from minor injuries. They requested an ambulance to take the patient to a hospital for treatment.
 
The Honda was on the right shoulder. However, it is unknown if the driver stayed after the crash.
 
The California Highway Patrol is still investigating the accident.
