Morning Head-On Accident on Santa Fe Avenue in Hesperia Injures One Driver

 
HESPERIA, CA (January 10, 2022) – One person was injured in a head-on accident at Santa Fe Avenue and Ranchero Road in Hesperia on Wednesday morning.
 
The accident happened around 9:43 a.m. on January 5. According to the Hesperia Sheriff’s Station, a 2020 Ford Transit Connect and a 2006 Toyota Sienna collided for unknown reasons.
 
Responding firefighters found one of the drivers with critical injuries. The patient was transported by ground ambulance to the nearby Hesperia Airport helipad where Mercy Air 22 is stationed. The air ambulance then took the driver to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center.
 
Meanwhile, the other driver declined medical transportation.
 
The cause of the crash and factors involved remain under investigation.
