Crop Duster Plane Crashes into Pickup Truck on Pleasant Grove Road in Sutter County Injuring Driver
SUTTER COUNTY (June 27, 2024) – One person was injured when a small crop duster plane crashed into a Ford F-150 pickup truck on Pleasant Grove Road at Nicolaus Avenue in Sutter County on Tuesday morning.
According to the Federal Aviation Administration, a single-engine Republic RC-3 clipped was trying to depart from Pleasant Grove around 6:00 a.m. when it clipped a fence. It then crashed into the pickup truck.
Firefighters said the plane did not manage to generate enough lift.
First responders found the female driver of the pickup truck limping after the crash. She managed to get outside of the vehicle and went to the hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.
Only the pilot was on board the small plane and was unharmed.
The FAA is investigating the crash along with the National Transportation Safety Board.
