Two Vehicles Collide on Highway 99 in Chico Leaving One Driver with Injuries

 
CHICO, CA (October 21, 2023) – One person was hurt in a two-vehicle accident on Highway 99 in Chico Wednesday morning on October 18.
 
The accident happened around 8:21 a.m. at the intersection with Southgate Lane. According to the California Highway Patrol, a green Toyota Camry sedan ran a red light and crashed into a gray Dodge Ram 2500 pickup truck that was turning at the intersection.
 
The impact of the crash left the driver of the Camry with minor injuries. The driver of the Dodge was not hurt.
 
Crews blocked the intersection on the southbound side until 9:04 a.m. while they worked on the scene.
 
The factors involved in the crash remain under investigation.
