DUI Crash near Parkway Drive in West Central Fresno Sends One Person to Hospital

 
FRESNO, CA (April 19, 2023) – One person was hospitalized in a DUI crash near Parkway Drive and Dennett Avenue late Sunday evening.
 
The crash happened just after 11:00 p.m. on April 16, in west central Fresno. According to the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office, deputies attempted to pull over a car for unknown reasons.
 
The driver refused to stop, and a short pursuit ended when the driver crashed into a parked car.
 
After the crash, the driver in his 30’s tried to run away but was later caught. He was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
 
One of his two passengers was injured during the crash and transported to a hospital. The extent of their injuries is unknown.
 
An investigation into this crash is ongoing.
