SANTA ANA, CA (February 9, 2021) – One died in a pedestrian accident on 1st Street near the Santa Ana River on February 3.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Silverado Trail around 9:04 PM.
 
Based on a report, the man was crossing the street at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, a vehicle heading west struck him.
 
As a result, Orange County Fire Authority personnel said the victim died at the scene. They did not release his name pending kin notification.
 
The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene. Upon assessment, officers don’t suspect alcohol as a factor in this a pedestrian accident on 1st Street. However, the Santa Ana Police Department is still investigating the case.
