One Killed, Two Injured after Big Rig Crash on Soboba Road near Gilman Springs Road

 
SAN JACINTO, CA (April 8, 2022) — One person died and two sustained injuries in a big rig crash on Soboba Road on Thursday, April 7.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at about 9:50 a.m. on Soboba Road near Gilman Springs Road.
 
CHP said that a semi-truck overturned onto a car, but no other details were available.
 
Riverside County Fire Department crews responded to the location within minutes. After that, they extricated the occupants of the smaller vehicle.
 
One person who was freed from the vehicle died at the scene. Another person had moderate injuries, and a third sustained minor injuries, the fire department said.
 
Medics rushed both to a regional trauma center for treatment.
 
Officials blocked both sides of Soboba at the location by the overturned big rig. CHP was still working to remove it at 11:30 a.m.Thursday.
 
The investigation of the crash is still underway.
