One Critically Injured in Two-Vehicle Accident on Silica Drive near Hesperia Road [Victorville, CA]

SUV and Sedan Collide on Silica Drive in Victorville Critically Injuring One Driver

 
VICTORVILLE, CA (April 22, 2023) – One person was critically injured in a two-vehicle accident on Silica Drive in Victorville Tuesday afternoon on April 18.
 
The accident happened around 2:00 p.m. just east of Hesperia Road, near the Tri City Car Wash. According to the Victorville Police Department, a red 2012 Toyota Rav4 SUV and silver Toyota sedan collided for unknown reasons.
 
When officers arrived, they located the SUV with front-end damage and the sedan with damage on the driver’s side.
 
Firefighters extricated the female driver of the sedan and took them to to Desert Valley Hospital in critical condition.
 
Another patient sustained minor injuries from the crash.
 
Police shut down Silica Road in both directions between Hesperia Road and Business Center Drive while they documented the crash.
 
The cause and factors involved remain under investigation.
