Car Catches Fire after Crash with Big Rig on General Beale Road in Bakersfield

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (January 5, 2022) – One person was critically injured in a fiery accident on General Beale Road off-ramp east of Bakersfield Saturday afternoon.
 
The accident happened around 2:11 p.m. on January 1, at the intersection of Highway 58. According to the California Highway Patrol, a car collided with a big rig and overturned down an embankment. It then burst into flames.
 
When paramedics arrived, they found one person suffering from critical injuries. They took the patient to a hospital for treatment.
