Man Killed in Granada Hills Pedestrian Crash on Chatsworth Street

 
GRANADA HILLS, CA (January 5, 2022) — A man died in a pedestrian accident on Chatsworth Street near Petit Avenue Tuesday morning.
 
According to Los Angeles police, the fatal pedestrian crash occurred around 4:45 a.m. For unknown reasons, a driver in a 1973 Ford Maverick struck a man who was pushing a shopping cart on Chatsworth Street.
 
Subsequently, the westbound Ford left the scene and reportedly hopped into another vehicle before police took him into custody.
 
Due to the nature of the crash and his injuries, the victim succumbed to his wounds.
 
At this time, the crash requires further investigation. If anyone has more information on the 63-year-old male driver or this accident, please call the police.
