One Arrested in DUI Crash on Highway 198 near Ben Maddox Way [Visalia, CA]

Police Arrest DUI Driver after Fiery Rollover Crash on Highway 198 in Visalia

 
VISALIA, CA (April 12, 2023) – One person was arrested after a DUI crash on Highway 198 in Visalia early Saturday morning on April 8.
 
The crash happened shortly after 2:00 a.m., just west of Ben Maddox Way. According to the Visalia Police Department, a Hyundai Elantra and a Dodge Charger collided in the eastbound on the highway. The impact caused the Elantra to overturn and catch fire.
 
Visalia City Fire crews responded and helped remove the occupants of the Elantra. They transported them to an area hospital for treatment of their injuries. The number of injured patients and their conditions were unknown.
 
Police arrested one person on suspicion of driving under the influence.
