DUI Driver Causes Accident on 31st Street at Juniper Street in San Diego

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (March 10, 2022) – Police arrested one person following a DUI accident on 31st Street on March 2.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at Juniper Street around 10:15 PM.
 
Based on a report, the suspect hit a parked car in the lanes first. Then, he dragged a bumper down Juniper until he began hitting other cars. Multiple residents chased the car down the road to prevent the driver from hitting more cars. However, the driver allegedly gunned the engine again and slammed into the back of a red pickup truck.
 
As a result, the suspect hit at least five cars, damaging all of them.
 
In the end, officers with the San Diego Police Department arrested the man for suspicion of DUI.
 
At this point, the cause of the collision remains unclear. Also, an investigation is still ongoing.
