HACIENDA HEIGHTS, CA (July 27, 2022) – Emergency crews sent two officers to the hospital after a CHP vehicle got into an accident on Highway 60 on July 25.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at Hacienda Boulevard at approximately 4:20 AM.
 
Based on reports, a semi-truck struck the CHP unit while the officers were inside. In addition, the truck also hit a bystander’s vehicle on the right shoulder of the highway.
 
As a result, the officers suffered minor injuries in the incident. Crews rushed them to the hospital for treatment. The occupant of the other car did not require hospitalization.
 
The driver of the semi stayed at the scene and cooperated with officials who responded.
