EL MONTE, CA (August 31, 2023) — An officer sustained injuries after a tire hit his patrol car on the 605 Freeway near the 10 Freeway.
 
According to authorities, the car accident happened around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday. For an unknown reason, a loose tire slammed into a patrol vehicle on the 605 Freeway. As a result, the officer suffered injuries that required hospitalization.
 
Moments after, Los Angeles County Firefighters arrived at the scene and rushed the injured officer to a nearby hospital for care.
