Officer Hurt in Livermore Hit-and-Run Accident on Isabel Avenue

 
LIVERMORE, CA (June 7, 2021) — An officer was injured in a hit-and-run on Isabel Avenue near the 580 Freeway Friday morning.
 
According to Livermore police, the accident happened around 11:45 a.m. Due to a traffic code violation, a motorcycle officer pulled over a driver in a truck. As the officer tried getting off his bike, the suspect pulled the car in reverse and struck the motorcycle before leaving the scene.
 
As a result of the accident, the officer sustained unknown injuries and a brief chase unfolded.
