Officer Among Hurt in 2-Vehicle Crash at 9th Street in Los Angeles

 
LOS ANGELES, CA (February 27, 2024) — An officer and a driver suffered minor injuries in a 2-car accident at 9th Street and Flower Street.
 
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the two-vehicle crash happened around 3:30 a.m. Monday. Under unclear circumstances, a driver crashed into a police vehicle in downtown.
 
Soon after, authorities arrived and requested that the driver exit his vehicle. However, he failed to comply. After repeated requests, however, the driver eventually exited his car and police made sure he did not leave the scene. Both he and the officer suffered minor injuries and sought hospital care for an assessment.
 
At the time of the report, authorities did not say what led to the collision, but officers are looking into DUI as a possible factor.
