Nicholas Lanni, 79-Year-Old Gene Kittiko Die in Multi-Vehicle Crash on 15 Freeway near Indian Truck Trail

 
RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA (March 8, 2024) — Nicholas Lanni and Gene Kittiko died in a multi-car accident on the 15 Freeway near Indian Truck Trail.
 
According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Coroner’s Bureau, the fatal accident happened after 10:00 p.m. Wednesday. Under rainy weather conditions, one car reportedly hydroplaned in the fast lane. Subsequently, the vehicle struck the center divider, drawing three other vehicles into the mayhem.
 
Soon after, Riverside County Fire Department paramedics arrived about 20 minutes later and found 34-year-old Nicolas Lanni, of Norco, deceased in his vehicle. After finding 79-year-old Gene Kittiko with severe injuries, paramedics took him to Inland Valley Medical Center in Wildomar, where he died after midnight.
 
According to reports, paramedics also took three other victims to the same hospital with moderate injuries.
 
At the time of the report, police did not confirm an explanation for the crash but will look into the details further.
