Motorcyclist Killed in Head-On Accident on Rosecrans Avenue at Kingsley Drive [Gardena, CA]

Rider Dies after Colliding Head-On with Wrong-Way Driver on Rosecrans Avenue in Gardena

 
GARDENA, CA (October 18, 2021) – A motorcyclist was killed in a head-on accident on Rosecrans Avenue in Gardena late Saturday evening.
 
The accident happened around 11:30 p.m. on October 16, at the intersection with Kingsley Drive. According to the Gardena Police Department, a black Jeep was traveling westbound on Rosecrans when it collided with the center median. It then continued westbound into oncoming eastbound lanes of traffic and collided head-on with the eastbound motorcyclist.
 
As a result, the motorcyclist died at the scene. Authorities withheld their identity pending family notification.
 
Paramedics took the female driver of the Jeep to Harbor General Hospital for evaluation.
