87-Year-Old Man Struck, Killed by Bus on San Ysidro Boulevard

SAN DIEGO, CA (October 18, 2021) — An 87-year-old man was hit and killed by a bus on San Ysidro Boulevard near Virginia Avenue Friday.
 
According to the San Diego Police, the fatal accident happened around 6:45 p.m. Friday. For unknown reasons, the elder stumbled into the northbound lanes while trying to cross San Ysidro Boulevard.
 
Unfortunately, the victim fell onto the path of an approaching charter bus, which subsequently struck him. Soon after, authorities and paramedics responded and pronounced him dead at the scene.
 
At this time, officials have not confirmed the liabilities or outstanding details of the crash. However, anyone with additional information should contact the San Diego Police.
