Fatal Fiery DUI Accident on East Mariposa Road in Stockton Involves 2 Motorcycles and Car

 
STOCKTON, CA (May 25, 2021) – At least one motorcyclist died in a fiery DUI accident at East Mariposa Road and Murphy Road late Saturday evening.
 
The accident happened around 11:46 p.m. on May 22. According to the California Highway Patrol, two motorcycles and a car collided for unknown reasons. The car became fully engulfed in flames after the crash.
 
Responding emergency personnel found at least one rider with major injuries. An initial report also indicated that a leg was found in the middle of the roadway.
 
Despite life-saving measures, at least one of the riders died at the scene. The identity of the victim was not immediately available.
 
Police arrested one motorist for DUI causing bodily injury and two counts of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated.
 
The CHP and San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Department are investigating the circumstances of this fatal crash.
