Rider Sustains Possible Leg Fracture after Struck by U-Haul Van on Cypress Avenue in Redding

 
REDDING, CA (April 5, 2022) – A motorcyclist was injured in an accident involving a U-Haul van on Cypress Avenue in Redding on Friday afternoon.
 
The accident happened around 3:22 p.m. on April 1 near Hartnell Avenue. According to the Redding Police Department, a U-Haul van and the motorcyclist were both traveling eastbound on Cypress Avenue.
 
The driver of the van looked down and away from the road and then crashed into the back of the motorcyclist.
 
The motorcycle and rider became stuck underneath the van and were both dragged for several yards.
 
Emergency crews responded and transported the rider to a local hospital with a possible leg fracture.
 
Further investigation into this accident is underway.
