Fatal Arvin Motorcycle Accident on Highway 223, Devyn Marroquin-Ruano Killed
ARVIN, CA (July 8, 2021) – A motorcyclist was killed in a traffic accident on Highway 223 in Arvin Sunday, June 27.
The Kern County Sheriff’s Office said 23-year-old Bakersfield resident Devyn Adonis Marroquin-Ruano.
The accident happened around 1:15 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 223 and Tower Line Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, Marroquin-Ruano died after his motorcycle crashed with a blue SUV.
According to reports, a blue SUV was heading eastbound on the highway. After that, the motorcyclist traveled southbound on Tower Line Road. However, the motorcycle failed to stop at the intersection and ended up hitting the SUV.
Marroquin-Ruano was pronounced dead at the scene.
No other information was available at this time. However, an investigation into this fatal crash is ongoing.
