At Least 4 Vehicles Involved in Fatal Hit-and-Run on Highway 46 in Kern County

 
KERN COUNTY, CA (June 28, 2021) – One person was killed in a hit-and-run on Highway 46 in Kern County early Sunday morning.
 
The fatal incident happened around 3:30 a.m. near Brown Material Road and Lost Hills. CHP officials said at least four vehicles, including a black Dodge with kayak and a stolen vehicle, were involved.
 
Details of how the crash occurred were not immediately available, but officials confirmed one fatality as a result of the incident.
 
The fatality was being investigated by the California Highway Patrol as a hit-and-run.
 
Crews closed Highway 46 until 6:45 a.m. while they cleared the wreckage.
