Two Cars Collide on 15 Freeway in Hesperia Injuring Two People

HESPERIA, CA (December 11, 2022) – A mother and her daughter were hurt in a two-car accident on 15 Freeway in Hesperia Monday morning on December 5.

The accident happened around 10:14 a.m. on the on-ramp of the freeway at Main Street. According to reports, a blue Ford sedan crossed through the red light and crashed into a white Chevrolet Tahoe that was attempting to turn west onto Main Street.

Upon impact, the Ford became disabled and was unable to stop until it reached the intersection of Main Street and Mariposa Road, narrowly missing cars waiting at the red light.

Firefighters treated both the mother and daughter from the Ford for minor scrapes and cuts.

Meanwhile, the driver of the Tahoe had abdominal pain. None of the occupants were transported by ground ambulance.

San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputies from the Hesperia Police Department are handling the investigation.

When approaching a red light, make sure to slow down and come to a complete stop just before it. Scan for any oncoming vehicles, and keep an eye out for possible road hazards. Also, practice defensive driving when entering intersections.
