Minor Injuries Reported in Multi-Vehicle Collision on 80 Freeway in Fairfield

 
FAIRFIELD, CA (April 25, 2023) — Minor injuries were reported in a multi-car accident on the 80 Freeway near Manuel Campos Parkway.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the multi-vehicle collision happened around 6:49 a.m. Monday. On the 80 West Freeway, at least five vehicles crashed and sustained a range of damage.
 
Due to the collision, commuters faced traffic in all four westbound lanes.
 
Fortunately, the crash victims only reported minor injuries. As time passed, the No. 1 and 4 lanes reopened. By 8:20 a.m., all lanes reopened.
 
It’s unclear what led to the accident, but CHP officers confirmed that one car rear-ended another, and a chain reaction unfolded. No other information about this crash was available. However, we will update this report once we receive more information.
