Marvin Buchmiller Killed in Two-Vehicle Accident on Highway 50 [El Dorado County, CA]

Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 50 near Ice House Road Kills 83-Year-Old Man

 
EL DORADO COUNTY, CA (March 6, 2023) – Marvin H. Buchmiller died in a two-vehicle accident in El Dorado County Thursday afternoon on March 2.
 
The fatal accident happened around 3:20 p.m. on Highway 50 near Ice House Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, a Ford Expedition crossed into opposing lanes and struck a Kia Sportage, driven by Buchmiller.
 
As a result, Buchmiller suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. He was 83 years old from South Lake Tahoe.
 
A passenger in the Kia, a 52-year-old man, was hospitalized with major injuries.
 
The 52-year-old driver of the Expedition only sustained minor injuries.
 
Everyone was wearing their seat belts and DUI was not a factor in the crash. CHP officials are still investigating the accident.
