Motorcyclist Marcos Parra Seriously Injured in Collision with Car on Highway 99 West in Glenn County

 
GLENN COUNTY, CA (October 11, 2022) – 23-year-old Marcos Parra of Williams sustained serious injuries in a motorcycle crash on Highway 99 West, Sunday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on October 9, at about 11:00 a.m. A speeding motorcycle collided with a westbound Toyota Tacoma near the intersection with County Road 68.
 
The impact of the collision ejected Parra from his motorcycle. As per reports, the motorcycle later caught fire.
 
Meanwhile, the Toyota was pushed south and collided with a stopped big rig.
 
A medical helicopter transported Parra to Enloe Medical Center in Chico for treatment of a compound fracture to his right leg and major injuries to the face.
 
The Toyota driver, identified as 36-year-old Thomas Cronin, and the big rig driver did not sustain injuries.
 
CHP continues to investigate the cause of the accident.
