Wrong-Way Driver Marc Hernandez Jr. Dies after Colliding Head-On with Pickup Truck in Desert Hot Springs

 
DESERT HOT SPRINGS, CA (March 21, 2022) – Marc Hernandez Jr. was killed in a wrong-way accident in Desert Hot Springs on Friday morning.
 
The accident happened around 7:30 a.m. on March 18 at Indian Canyon Drive and Mission Lakes Boulevard. According to the Desert Hot Springs Police Department, Hernandez was a driving a Ford Focus southbound in the northbound lane of Indian Canyon Drive when he collided head-on into a Dodge Ram pickup truck.
 
The impact caused fatal injuries on Hernandez. He died at the scene. He was a 29-year-old Desert Hot Springs resident.
 
Meanwhile, the 26-year-old driver of the Dodge from Cathedral City suffered moderate injuries and was taken to a local hospital.
