Man Dead in Train Accident on 4th Street in Madera
MADERA, CA (August 7, 2021) – Police confirmed that a train struck and killed a man in an accident on 4th Street on August 2.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Gateway Drive around 7:00 PM.
Based on reports, the man was on the tracks at the time of the crash. At that time, the freight train was going between 40-45 mph. Then, the conductor reportedly blew the horn several times, but the man didn’t respond.
As a result, the victim died in the incident. Officials only identified him as a 47-year-old man. His name will be released after notification of next of kin.
At this point, the Madera Police Department is still investigating this accident on 4th Street. In addition, no other details are available.
