Police Vehicle Involved in Accident on E Street in Wheatland
WHEATLAND, CA (July 26, 2021) – A police vehicle struck and injured a man in an accident on E Street bridge on July 20.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at approximately 12:33 AM.
Based on reports, the Wheatland Police officer was returning from Marysville in a patrol vehicle prior to the crash. At that time, the male pedestrian ran across the road. Subsequently, the car struck the victim.
As a result, the victim sustained major injuries in the incident. Paramedics transported him to a nearby hospital for treatment. Officials identified him as a 26-year-old man from Marysville. The officer was not hurt in the commotion.
