Pedestrian Suffers Serious Injuries after Hit by Car on Grand Avenue in Pacific Beach

 
PACIFIC BEACH, CA (June 27, 2023) – A 29-year-old man was seriously injured in a pedestrian accident on Grand Avenue in Pacific Beach early Saturday morning on June 24.
 
The accident happened just before 2:00 a.m. at Everts Street. According to the San Diego Police Department, the male pedestrian was running south on the east side of the intersection. At the same time, a 25-year-old man was driving a Honda Accord eastbound on Grand Avenue when the pedestrian ran in front of the car.
 
The car then hit the man, causing him serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
 
Paramedics transported the victim to a hospital for proper treatment.
 
The driver remained on scene and was not injured.
 
An investigation into this accident is ongoing. It is unknown if drugs or alcohol was a factor.
