Motorcyclist Suffers Major Injuries after Hit by Car on Highway 45 in Glenn County

 
GLENN COUNTY, CA (September 28, 2022) – A 50-year-old Magalia man was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident on Highway 45 on Friday evening, September 23.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the man was riding his motorcycle north on the highway near County Road 34.
 
At the same time, a 20-year-old man was driving a Dodge south on Highway 45 and was passing a vehicle. As he was passing the vehicle, the Dodge hit the motorcycle, causing the man to crash. The motorcycle came to a rest in the northbound lane of Highway 45.
 
Firefighters responded and airlifted the motorcyclist to Enloe Medical Center with major injuries.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the Dodge was unhurt.
 
The CHP said alcohol was not a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.
