Rollover Accident on 5 Freeway in Glenn County Badly Injures Child

 
GLENN COUNTY, CA (September 28, 2022) – An 8-year-old girl was seriously injured in a rollover accident on 5 Freeway in Glenn County late Friday evening, September 23.
 
The accident happened at County Road J, just north of County Road 62. According to the California Highway Patrol, a 37-year-old man was traveling north on the freeway when he drove into the median for unknown reasons. His vehicle then crossed the southbound lanes, crashed into a wire perimeter off the road and rolled over.
 
As a result of the crash, all people in the vehicle were taken to the hospital, including the 8-year-old child with major injuries. All were from San Francisco.
 
Authorities did not indicate the exact number of occupants in the vehicle.
 
Drugs and alcohol were not a factor in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
