Motorcycle Rider Suffers Major Injuries after Crashing into SUV on East Cypress Avenue in Redding

 
REDDING, CA (November 29, 2023) – A man was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident on East Cypress Avenue in Redding Monday afternoon on November 27.
 
The accident happened just before 4:00 p.m. just west of Alfreda Way. According to the Redding Police Department, the man was riding his motorcycle westbound on East Cypress Avenue when he collided with a Honda Pilot that had pulled out of a shopping center.
 
The man was ejected off his bike and the Pilot’s airbags deployed from the impact.
 
Responding paramedics transported the man to a hospital with major injuries.
 
It is unknown if the woman driving the Pilot was hurt in the crash.
 
Police do not believe drugs or alcohol as a factor in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
