Man Seriously Injured in Electric Bike Accident on Pacific Center Boulevard [Sorrento Valley, CA]

E-Bike Rider Suffers Major Injuries after Crashing into Pickup Truck on Pacific Center Boulevard

 
SORRENTO VALLEY, CA (October 6, 2023) – A 25-year-old man was seriously injured in an electric bike accident on Pacific Center Boulevard in Sorrento Valley on Tuesday evening.
 
According to the San Diego Police Department, the man was riding his e-bike eastbound at an unsafe speed for conditions. He then crashed into the back of a legally parked pickup truck at 5700 Pacific Center Boulevard around 9:04 p.m.
 
The rider sustained facial injuries and an open fracture to his left forearm as a result of the crash. Police said he was wearing a helmet and had a bike light.
 
SDPD’s Traffic Division is handling the investigatation.
