Rider Hospitalized after Motorcycle Accident on Highway 1 near Buena Vista Drive

 
WATSONVILLE, CA (November 22, 2021) – A 20-year-old man sustained serious injuries in a motorcycle accident on Highway 1, Friday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on November 19, at about 9:00 a.m. A 2022 BMW motorcycle was traveling at a faster speed when it crashed into the rear of a slower 2014 Mercedes near Buena Vista Drive.
 
Emergency crews rushed the rider to Natividad Medical Center for treatment of major injuries.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the Mercedes remained and cooperated with investigators.
 
As per reports, an uninvolved vehicle later stopped at the scene and stole the purse of the Mercedes driver. Officers ask anyone with information about the accident and the uninvolved vehicle to call CHP at (831) 662-0511.
