Man Dies after Run Over by His Vehicle near Bouquet Canyon Road in Santa Clarita

 
SANTA CLARITA, CA (July 14, 2022) — A man run over by a rolling car near Bouquet Canyon Road and Soledad Canyon Road died on Tuesday night.
 
According to Deputy Natalie Arriaga, the fatal incident happened around 9:00 a.m. For unknown reasons, a 69-year-old man’s car began rolling out of a gas station as he tried to pump fuel. In an attempt to stop his vehicle, the victim pressed on the accelerator pad rather than the brake pad, directing the vehicle into oncoming traffic.
 
Subsequently, another driver struck his car, which ejected him onto the street, where his car ran him over.
 
Shortly after, the Los Angeles County Fire Department arrived at the scene at 9:14 a.m. and brought him to a nearby hospital where he died.
 
Authorities have not yet released his name. However, if anyone has more information on this crash or the victim, please call the Santa Clarita Valley sheriff’s station.
