1 Dead, 2 Hospitalized after Wrong-Way Accident on La Cienega Boulevard in Baldwin Hills

 
BALDWIN HILLS, CA (December 12, 2023) – A man died in a wrong-way accident on La Cienega Boulevard, late Sunday evening.
 
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the incident happened on December 9, at about 11:20 p.m. For reasons still under investigation, a southbound vehicle entered the northbound lanes. There, it collided with a northbound vehicle near the intersection with Obama Boulevard.
 
A third vehicle reportedly got involved a short time later.
 
Emergency crews transported the wrong-way driver to a local hospital, where he later died. Authorities withheld the identity of the victim, pending notification of next of kin.
 
Two other people were hospitalized with unspecified injuries.
 
LAPD continues to investigate the cause of the fatal accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
