Man Dead, Woman Hurt in Car Accident on 10 Freeway in Yucaipa

 
YUCAIPA, CA (June 20, 2022) — A man died and a woman was seriously injured in a car crash on the 10 Freeway near Yucaipa Boulevard on Sunday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal single-vehicle accident happened around 1:30 a.m. For unknown reasons, a woman operating an Infiniti in the No. 2 lane of the eastbound freeway veered to the right. As a result, the vehicle skidded across the freeway and struck a metal barrier adjacent to the farthest right lane.
 
As a result of the impact, both the driver and passenger were ejected from the car, leaving them on the freeway lanes.
 
Soon after, CHP officers responded to the scene and found the man dead and the woman with critical injuries. At this time, she remains in recovery at the Loma Linda Medical Center.
 
Authorities have not identified the leading cause of the crash. However, if anyone has more information on this accident, please contact the CHP.
