Two-Vehicle Accident on West Saticoy Street in Lake Balboa Kills 1 and Critically Injures Another

 
LAKE BALBOA, CA (February 20, 2024) – A man was killed in a two-vehicle accident on West Saticoy Street in the Lake Balboa area on Tuesday morning on February 20.
 
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, a car and a pickup truck collided in the 17300 block of West Saticoy Street around 9:42 a.m. The pickup truck then struck a tree and a commercial building, damaging a natural gas meter.
 
As a result, the male driver of the pickup truck died at the scene.
 
An adult female driver of the car suffered critical injuries.
 
SoCalGas crews were sent to the scene, along with building and health inspectors. A restaurant was damaged, and a health inspection will be required, the LAFD reported.
 
The circumstances of this fatal crash remain under investigation.
