Pickup Truck Crashes into Semi Truck on Marks Avenue in Riverdale Killing Driver and Injuring Four Passengers

 
RIVERDALE, CA (September 4, 2024) – A man was killed in a traffic accident at Marks Avenue and Excelsior Avenue in Riverdale on Tuesday night.
 
The fatal accident happened just before 6:00 p.m. on September 3. According to the California Highway Patrol, the man was driving a pickup truck with a woman and three children, ages four to ten.
 
The pickup truck stopped at a stop sign before driving into the path of a semi truck, and the two vehicles collided.
 
As a result of the crash, the man suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
 
The woman and three children were taken to a hospital with unspecified injuries.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the semi truck was unharmed.
 
PG&E worked to repair power poles that were damaged in the crash.
 
At this time, no identification has been released. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
