Jan Lopez Detained Following Deadly Homicide, Car Crash on Pasadena Avenue near Nisson Road

 
TUSTIN, CA (September 4, 2024) — Jan Lopez faces charges following a fatal stabbing and a car accident on Pasadena Avenue near Nisson Road.
 
According to Tustin Police, the deadly incident happened around 9:14 p.m. Sunday. Upon responding, Tustin Police found a man with stab wounds and a woman hit by a vehicle in front of Arbor Ranch Apartments on Pasadena Avenue.
 
Subsequently, paramedics transported the man to a hospital where he passed away from his wounds. Officials have not identified him.
 
Investigators determined that Jan Daniel Lopez, of Anaheim, who likely knew the victims was involved in either the stabbing or the car accident, or both. Thus far, authorities were told by witnesses that the vehicle crashed under unknown circumstances and the stabbing occurred shortly after that.
 
Lopez reportedly left the scene of the incident before witnesses began helping the injured woman.
