Driver Dies after Ejected in Rollover Crash on 15 Freeway in Cajon Pass

 
CAJON PASS, CA (May 8, 2023) – A man was killed in a rollover accident on 15 Freeway in the Cajon Pass Friday morning on May 5.
 
The accident happened around 5:26 a.m., about two miles before Cleghorn Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, the man was driving a white sedan when the car overturned several times and landed on its roof.
 
During the rollover, the man was ejected from his car and landed in the second lane of the freeway. A white pickup truck then struck him.
 
Another driver in a white Honda Civic also struck the victim, whom she initially thought was an animal.
 
San Bernardino County Fire personnel responded and pronounced the man dead at the scene.
 
The San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner’s Office has not yet released the identity of the victim.
 
This fatal crash is still under investigation. Anyone with further information is asked to call the CHP at 909-806-2400.
