Fatal Hit-and-Run with Pedestrian on Florin Road in Sacramento

 
SACRAMENTO, CA (November 8, 2021) – A man was killed in a pedestrian hit-and-run crash on Florin Road in Sacramento early Saturday morning.
 
The fatal crash happened around 3:00 a.m. on November 6 just east of French Road. Police responded to reports of a person lying in the road. When they arrived, officers determined the person had been struck by a vehicle which subsequently left the scene.
 
The male pedestrian suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. His identity was not immediately available.
 
This is an ongoing investigation. Police asked anyone with further information on this fatal crash to contact the South Sacramento CHP Area office at 916-897-5600 during normal business hours or 916-897-1300 after-hours. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
