Man Dies in Westminster Pedestrian Crash on Westminster Boulevard

 
WESTMINSTER, CA (March 16, 2022) — A man died in a pedestrian accident on Westminster Boulevard near Newland Street on Monday.
 
According to Westminster police, the fatal pedestrian crash occurred around 12:40 p.m. Under unclear circumstances, a driver struck the pedestrian near Liberty Park.
 
Soon after, paramedics reached the scene and brought him to UCI Medical Center where he died of his wounds.
 
Reports have not released the victim’s name but have only described him as a male between 65 and 75 years old.
 
As for the driver, he or she stayed at the crash site and cooperated with police investigators, later claiming that neither alcohol nor drugs played a factor in the accident.
