Pedestrian Dies after Struck by Vehicle on Towne Avenue in Pomona

 
POMONA, CA (March 30, 2024) – A man was killed in a pedestrian accident at Towne Avenue and Bonita Avenue in Pomona on Friday morning.
 
The fatal accident happened around 5:40 a.m. on March 29. According to the Pomona Police Department, a vehicle struck the male pedestrian who was walking at the intersection.
 
Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics immediately responded and took the man to a hospital, where he later died.
 
The driver of the vehicle stayed on scene and cooperated with officers. Police said the driver was not intoxicated.
 
At this time, the identity of the victim was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
